Bio

Maha Eddé is a Lebanese Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in Dubai. Working across painting, sculpture, and photography, her practice is grounded in movement—using intuitive, circular gestures to develop biomorphic compositions that echo the rhythms of the body and nature. Her work explores how forms connect, overlap, and hold tension, drawing parallels between organic systems and the social or political structures we live within.

She holds a BFA in Design Art from Concordia University in Montreal. After a career in design and commercial photography, she shifted her focus to a full-time art practice in 2020. In 2024 and 2025, Eddé presented three solo exhibitions: Flow at La Cantine Du Faubourg in Dubai, Equilibrium at T.ZED Warehouse in Dubai, and Houle (Swell) in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France. She also participated in a group exhibition in December 2024 in Chelsea, New York City, as part of The Canopy Program (NYC Crit Club). Earlier in 2023, her work was included in group exhibitions at East West Gallery (The Courtyard, Al Quoz, Dubai) and Tashkeel (Alserkal Avenue).

Earlier in her career, she curated a photography exhibition in Dubai and participated in both solo and group photography shows.

Eddé is the founder of 8th Street Studios, an artist studio space in Al Quoz that hosts five women artists and fosters a collaborative, community-based studio environment with a focus on shared learning and contributing to the wider art community.

She remains actively engaged in ongoing learning and critical dialogue. She recently completed a year-long, critique-based intensive program called The Canopy Program with NYC Crit Club and continues to participate in independent courses and workshops.
